D3S Mercury-Free HID System

D3S HID xenon globes are designed as a mercury-free HID solution used in modern vehicle lighting systems. They operate at a lower voltage compared to earlier HID systems and are not interchangeable with D1S, D2S or D4S globes.

Always replace D3S globes with D3S to ensure correct operation with the factory ballast and headlight system.

HID Headlight Fault Diagnosis

If your headlight is not illuminating, the fault is not always the globe. OEM HID systems include multiple components such as the globe, ballast, igniter, wiring, relays and fuses.

The simplest way to identify a faulty component is to swap parts from one side of the vehicle to the other. If the fault follows the globe, the globe is faulty. If the fault remains, test the ballast and igniter.

If the issue does not follow components, the fault may be related to wiring, relays or fuses. We recommend diagnosis by a qualified auto electrician.
