Choose the Right LED Headlight Globe for Your Application
The right LED upgrade depends on how you use your lights. Start with your original halogen globe type, then choose the range that suits your low beam, high beam, fog light or specialised DRL/high-beam application.
| LED Globe Range | Best Suited To | Why Choose It |
|---|---|---|
| Extreme PLUS G3 P18 | High beam, rural driving, farm vehicles, four-wheel-drives and off-road applications. | Our maximum-output LED globe option for drivers who want the most light from their high beams. Some low-beam applications may also be suitable where fitment, beam pattern and aim have been checked. |
| Extreme Plus G3 with Dedicated CAN-bus Driver | Low beam, high beam or fog lights, particularly where a vehicle has sensitive bulb monitoring or electrical systems. | A purpose-built G3 option supplied with a dedicated CAN-bus driver. We recommend it case by case according to the vehicle type, bulb type and available fitment space. |
| Quick-Fit GEN5 | Everyday low beam, high beam and fog-light upgrades across the broadest range of globe types. | The versatile 1:1 halogen-to-LED replacement. It is the best starting point when you want a compact, direct-fit upgrade with broad bulb-type availability. |
| H1 R30 / H3 R30 | High beam applications using H1 or H3 globes. | Dedicated higher-powered H1 and H3 choices for customers who prioritise high-beam performance. Choose Quick-Fit H1 or H3 when you need the more versatile direct-fit option instead. |
| H15 LED Globe | Vehicles using the specialised H15 combined high-beam and Daytime Running Light format. | A dedicated solution for the unique H15 application. Confirm that your original halogen globe is H15 before ordering. |

LED Globes for Low Beam, High Beam & Fog Lights
Low beam: A low-beam upgrade needs a controlled beam pattern, correct globe seating and enough room behind the headlight for cooling components. Quick-Fit GEN5 is the most versatile 1:1 option, while the Extreme Plus G3 with dedicated CAN-bus driver is often the preferred recommendation for sensitive vehicle systems.
High beam: High beam is where many drivers want maximum forward illumination for regional roads, rural properties, farm work and off-road use. The P18 is designed for this maximum-output role, while the H1 R30 and H3 R30 provide dedicated higher-powered choices for vehicles using those globe types.
Fog lights: A fog-light LED upgrade should match the original globe type and fit correctly inside the lamp housing. Quick-Fit GEN5 and the Extreme Plus G3 with dedicated CAN-bus driver can be considered for suitable fog-light applications, depending on the vehicle, bulb type and space available.
All Current Pro Vision Lighting™ LED Globe Ranges Are CAN-bus Compatible
All current Pro Vision Lighting™ LED headlight globe ranges are CAN-bus compatible. Vehicle electronics vary significantly, however, and some modern vehicles are more sensitive to changes in bulb load, driver design or available installation space than others.
For this reason, we may recommend the Extreme Plus G3 with dedicated CAN-bus driver for a particular customer after considering the vehicle type, globe type, intended application and fitment space. The dedicated-driver G3 is not the only compatible option; it is a purposeful recommendation where the electrical system calls for it.
Before You Buy: Five LED Headlight Globe Fitment Checks
- Confirm your original globe type. Check the marking on the existing halogen globe, your owner’s manual, or ask us to identify it from a photo.
- Choose the correct application. Tell us whether you are upgrading low beam, high beam, fog lights or an H15 high-beam/DRL globe.
- Check space behind the headlight. Confirm that the dust cap can close and that there is sufficient space for the rear of the globe, driver and cooling system.
- Ensure correct installation. The globe must seat correctly in the housing and the connector must be securely fitted. Correct LED position is important for a useful beam pattern in both reflector and projector headlamps.
- Check beam aim and applicable requirements. After installation, check your headlamp aim and ensure your vehicle continues to meet applicable road-use requirements in your state or territory.
LED globe fitment is not universal. It depends on the original halogen globe type, headlamp design, available housing space and vehicle electronics. If you are unsure, contact Pro Vision Lighting™ before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which LED headlight globe is best for my vehicle?
Start by confirming your original halogen globe type, then consider where the globe is used. Quick-Fit GEN5 is the versatile 1:1 option for the broadest range of low-beam, high-beam and fog-light upgrades. The P18 is primarily for maximum high-beam output, while the dedicated-driver G3 may be recommended for particular sensitive vehicle systems. Contact us with your vehicle details if you are unsure.
Are all Pro Vision Lighting™ LED headlight globes CAN-bus compatible?
Yes. All current Pro Vision Lighting™ LED headlight globe ranges are CAN-bus compatible. Some vehicles are more sensitive than others, so we may recommend the Extreme Plus G3 with dedicated CAN-bus driver after considering your vehicle type, bulb type and fitment.
Which LED globes are best for high beam?
For customers who want maximum high-beam output for rural driving, farm vehicles, four-wheel-drives or off-road use, the P18 is the primary option. If your vehicle uses H1 or H3 high beams, the dedicated H1 R30 or H3 R30 products are higher-powered alternatives. Always confirm the original bulb type and available space before ordering.
Will LED headlight globes fit inside every headlight housing?
No. Check the bulb type, dust-cap clearance and cooling space behind the headlight before purchase. The compact 1:1 Quick-Fit GEN5 range is often a strong option where housing space is limited.
Can I use LED globes in low beam, high beam and fog lights?
Many LED globe types can be used in low beam, high beam or fog-light applications when the original halogen globe type and headlamp design are correct. The best product depends on your vehicle, application, bulb type, housing space and electrical system.
How do I know if I need an H15 LED globe?
H15 is a specialised globe type commonly used for a combined high-beam and Daytime Running Light function. Check the marking on your original halogen globe or contact us with a photo before ordering.
