This is the direct OEM replacement for the A2189009303 / A1668203589 DRL (Daytime Running Light) LED control module. It is specifically designed for the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class (W156 / X156) from 2013 to 2017 equipped with factory Xenon headlights.
It restores reliable operation to your factory DRL and turn signal indicator system. If your Daytime Running Lights fail to turn on, flicker, or your front indicator has stopped working, this control module is the most common cause.
CRITICAL FITMENT WARNING: This module is for the GLA W156 only.
While this module shares the exact same part number (A2189009303) and physical appearance as the module used in the A-Class (W176) and CLA (C117), they are internally different and not interchangeable. Installing an A-Class module into a GLA will result in partial or failed DRL function. Please ensure you are ordering for the GLA W156.
SCN Coding Required: Please note that this module is not plug-and-play. After installation, the module must be programmed. This can be done by a Mercedes dealer or an independent mechanic or auto electrician with a Scan Tool.

This specific module fits the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class (W156 / X156) from 2013 to 2017 equipped with factory Xenon headlights.
No. Even though the A-Class W176 uses a module with the exact same part number (A2189009303) and physical appearance, the internal electronics are different. Installing this GLA module into an A-Class will result in partial or failed DRL function. You must order the specific W176 variant.
The DRL failing to turn on, flickering, or the front turn signal indicator stopping working are the most common symptoms. Water ingress into the headlight housing is the leading cause of failure.
Yes. SCN coding is required. The module must be programmed using the unique 11-digit code printed on a sticker inside your headlamp housing. Without this coding, the DRL will not function correctly. This coding can be performed by a Mercedes dealership or an independent specialist with Xentry diagnostic equipment.
