Is It the Ballast or the Globe?
Before replacing the ballast, swap the working globe from the opposite headlight into the non-working side.
If the light still fails with a known-good globe, the ballast is the fault.
If both headlights are affected, or the fault appeared suddenly without a globe change, the ballast is almost always the cause.
