OEM HID Headlight Ballast — VALEO 7Green 89089352 for Land Rover, Jaguar, Volvo, Jeep & More
This is the OEM replacement for the Valeo 7Green 89089352 headlight control module — as originally fitted to Land Rover, Jaguar, Volvo, Jeep, Buick, GMC, Chevrolet, Maserati, Ferrari, and Ford vehicles.
It restores reliable, flicker-free operation to your factory HID xenon headlight system. No coding, no rewiring — plug straight in and it works.
One headlight flickering, cutting out after a few minutes, or not turning on at all? These are the most common signs of a failed Valeo 7Green ballast. A dashboard warning such as "Dipped Beam Failure", "Bulb Failure Low Beam", or "Headlamp Failure Service Required" is also a reliable indicator.
Important: The 89089352 is compatible with D3S, D3R, D4S, and D4R globes — 42V, 35W. It is not compatible with D1S or D1R globes. If your vehicle uses D1S or D1R globes, you need the Valeo 6G 89034934 instead.
The 89089352 uses a wider mounting footprint than the Valeo 6G 89034934 - see the dimension image in the thumbnail on listing images. Always verify fitment by matching the part number on your original ballast label before ordering.
1 x Ballast unit. If both headlights are affected, add 2 to your cart.

Valeo 89089352 vs 89034934 — Which One Do You Need?
These two Valeo ballasts look similar but are not interchangeable. The key differences are:
- 89089352 — Valeo 7Green (this product): D3S / D3R / D4S / D4R globes — 42V, 35W. Wider mounting footprint. Land Rover, Jaguar, later Volvo, Jeep (2014–2016), Corvette, Maserati, Ferrari.
- 89034934 — Valeo 6G: D1S / D1R globes only — 85V output. Narrower mounting footprint. Audi Q7, BMW 1 Series, Peugeot, Renault, Seat, earlier Volvo, VW.
Check the part number printed on the label of your original ballast before ordering. Some vehicles used different variants across production years.
Is It the Ballast or the Globe?
Before replacing the ballast, swap the working globe from the opposite headlight into the non-working side.
If the light still fails with a known-good globe, the ballast is the fault.
If your dash shows "Dipped Beam Failure" or "Headlamp Failure Service Required", this is typically a ballast communication error — a globe swap alone will not resolve it.
