Is It the Ballast or the Globe?
Before replacing the ballast, swap the working globe from the opposite headlight into the non-working side.
If the light still fails with a known-good globe, the ballast is the fault.

The LAD5G (this product) has a 12-pin main power connector and a raised section on the housing. The LAD5GL is a different ballast with a 4-pin power connector and a completely flat design. They are not interchangeable. You must replace a 12-pin ballast with a 12-pin ballast.
