This is the direct OEM replacement for the 7189312 Adaptive Headlight Control Module (AHL / ALC). It is fitted to a wide range of BMW E-Series models from 1998 to 2012 equipped with the factory Adaptive Cornering Headlight option.
This module controls the dynamic movement of the projector lens when cornering. If your headlights no longer swivel when turning the steering wheel, or you have an Adaptive Headlight warning on your dashboard, this control module is the most common cause. Water ingress into the lowest point of the headlight housing frequently damages these units.
Please note: This module controls the adaptive swivelling function only. It does not power the Xenon bulb (that is the HID Ballast).
