DHB-D3-LIN vs DHB-D1-LIN — Which One Do You Need?
These two ballasts look identical but are not interchangeable. The difference is the globe type they drive:
Check the globe type and part number printed on the label on top of your original ballast before ordering.
Is It the Ballast or the Globe?
Before replacing the ballast, swap the working globe from the opposite headlight into the non-working side.
If the light still fails with a known-good globe, the ballast is the fault.
If your dash shows "Check Headlight (Low)", this is a LIN communication error; the ballast must be replaced.
